Our Sauvignon Blanc shows off the classic stone fruits that this varietal is known for: White peaches and apricots, with a hint of green apples. Because it was not aged in oak, the fruit is dominant, and the palate is light fruity and refreshing.

This vintage is a blend of three different vineyards: 50% Regan Vineyard in Corralitos, 25% Black Ridge near Los Gatos opposite Lexington Reservoir, and 25% Miller Hill, located off Summit Road. It was aged in very tight grained Hungarian Oak for 19 months.

Wine Maker's Reserve
This 2017 offering blends the bright fruity attributes of the Miller Hill Vineyard (57%) with the earthy, spicy, ripe black cherry characters of the Black Ridge Vineyard (43%). The resulting wine shows a wonderful blend of berry fruits and earth, spicy characters. The palate is full and long with supple tannins and balanced acidity, a classic Santa Cruz Mountains AVA attribute

2017 Monmartre Red Blend
Estate
The 2017 Monmartre blend is a compilation of: 42% Estate Zinfandel, 8% Carignane, 50% Cabernet Franc. Expressive cranberry fruit is a typical consistent aromatic of the Estate Cabernet Franc, which shows through in this blend. The Zinfandel gives us a hedonistic over the top raspberry note with a hint of black pepper spice, and the ripe dark fruits such as: blackberries and blueberries, can be attributed to the Carignone. The palate is full yet elegant and is worthy of further aging.

2016 Cabernet Franc

The 2016 Estate Cabernet Franc shows an amazing depth of ripe red berried fruits: Cranberries, pomegranate and strawberries. The typical, Santa Cruz Mountains AVA mineral character comes shining through, with a hint of mint, earth, and tobacco to create a complex wine worthy of vines planted nearly 100 years ago. Long term aging in oak contributes a pleasant nutmeg spice with a touch of vanilla on the finish.

2016 Zinfandel

The 2016 Estate Vineyard Zinfandel shows classic mountain grown intense fruitiness and spice; expressed in Zin as raspberries and black pepper. The Santa Cruz Mountains AVA attributes of minerality and acidity come shining through to make a complex age worthy wine. The palate shows bright berry fruit with hints of earth and floral notes and finishes with that characteristic black pepper note.

2014 Ruby Port
Santa Lucia HIghland, Port of Syrah
With the addition of a high proof home made brandy, this Port is aged for 3-4 years in oak barrels prior to bottling. Flavors of black currents, Cassis, blueberries and blackberries which are consistent fruit characteristics of the Syrah, and the fortification process preserves and highlights all these qualities. The port also has hints of sautéed brown mushrooms, with melted Stilton and topped with crushed walnuts.

2005 Tawny Port
Monterey County, Coastview Vineyard
Oak barrel aged for 3 years and then aged out 15 years total. This Port has deep rich flavors of black currents, (Cassis), blueberries and blackberries that are consistent fruit characters of the Syrah from the Coastview vineyard and the fortification preserves all of these qualities for the port. Owner Mike Ballard dubbed this bottling the "Nectar of the Gods"!
