2009 Monmartre- Red Blend, Santa Cruz Mountains

This blend is named after the Villa that stands adjacent to the Savannah Chanelle Estate vineyard. It is comprised of 22% Zinfandel, 55% Carignane, 12% Cabernet Franc, all from the estate, and 11% Coast View Syrah from Monterey.

TASTING NOTES:
Cranberries, cranberries and cranberries is the overriding fruit in this wonderful blend which is dominantly from the estate vineyard. Subtle tones of black cherries, black berries and blue berries come through on the finish where it mingles ever so nicely with the minty character of this wine.  Try this wine with Hearty Autumn Root Vegetable & Beef Goulash.
