2009 Pinot Noir, Russian River

Subtle hints of oak and vanilla gave way to bright red Bing cherry notes and dusty earth. Blackberries and black cherries show magnificently on the well structured full and long palate. Great color, balanced acidity and silky soft tannins make this wine a prime candidate for aging, but it certainly drinks well now.

The Gunsalus Vineyard and Tina Marie Vineyards, the main components of this wine, are located in the cool area of the Russian River Valley sub-appellation known as Green Valley. Both of these wonderful vineyards produce Pinot Noir with plush black cherry fruit laced with red cherries; elegance and structure go hand in hand with wines made from these grapes.
