2010 Pinot Noir- Santa Cruz Mountains

It has an amazing depth and purity of black cherry fruit with overtones of red currants and stone fruits.

This is our first Santa Cruz Mountains pinot noir blend since 2002, and the 2010 vintage will probably prove to be a classic vintage to remember.  It is a blend of the Muns Vineyard on Loma Prieta, Regan Vineyard in Corralitos and just a hint of the Tondre Vineyard (5%) from the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation. It has an amazing depth and purity of black cherry fruit with overtones of red currants and stone fruits.  The fruitiness follows through all the way to the back of the palate where a hint of subtle oak spice lingers for a moment. The palate has an elegant structure that gives way to the natural acidity and plush tannins that will allow this wine to age for 5 to 7 years.
