2012 Monmartre, Red Blend

The 2012 Monmartre blend is a compilation of: 47% Estate Zinfandel, 18% Carignane, 24% Cabernet Franc and 11% Coast View Syrah.

The fresh raspberry note in the 2012 Monmartre comes from the hefty addition of the estate zinfandel, and the cranberries from the cabernet franc.Add to this the blueberries from the Coast View syrah to the blend, and it’s not surprising that this vintage is heavy on the fresh berry aromatics. The palate is big with soft, lush velvety tannins and well integrated acidity. The fruit carries all the way to the finish where you’ll find hints of vanilla and nutmeg from the 21 months of aging in American & Hungarian oak.
